The MUHC Libraries now offer more e-journal access!
We have heard your requests for greater access to subscription journals, and we have delivered!
Thanks to our new membership to the Réseau universitaire intégré de santé et de services sociaux de l’Université de Montréal (RUISSS de l’UdeM)’s library consortium, we now subscirbe to about five hundred journals, with almost 400 more electronic journals than before! Some high-impact titles we now offer include: Academic Medicine, Topics in Language Disorders, Journal of Geriatric Physical Therapy, Nursing Research, Pediatric Emergency Care, Harvard Review of Psychiatry, Cognitive and Behavioral Neurology, and the Journal of Addiction Medicine.
You can search our journal collection here.
The MUHC libraries staff can help you:
- Find articles,
- Set up email alerts for electronic tables of contents from your favourite journals,
- Run literature searches,
- Request access to articles from journals we do not subscribe to
… And much more! Contact a librarian today for more information.
What is a library consortium?
A library consortium is an association of institutions that come together to negotiate licenses for larger numbers of people at a lower cost than would be possible otherwise. Institutional licenses allow MUHC staff to read journals whose articles would often cost at least $30 each to access. This access is provided at no cost to all staff through the libraries.
